30-minute lunch break. Instructor: Caroline Coolidge Brown Make beautifully detailed etchings without using harmful chemicals! Solarplates are light-sensitized steel plates that are a simple, safe and fast alternative to traditional etchings with acids and solvents. Using a light box and soy based inks students will explore making using painterly styles and photographic transparencies. Basic printmaking lessons in tearing paper, registering paper, mixing colors, and using the press will be covered.  All materials in this class are non-toxic. Supplies included.

Glory of Stories introduces young visitors to art and the Museum through a story reading followed by an interactive tour of relevant works of art and a studio art project. This program encourages learning through discovery, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Ages 2 and up. Group tour reservations are required for groups of 10 or more children. Participate in a cultural exchange exploring both traditional and modern Korean culture and celebrating the Korean Thanksgiving, Chuseok. Enjoy Korean-inspired art activities, a photo booth, Korean snack sampling, TaeKwonDo demonstrations, hands-on activities, and much more. Artwork created by students from the Delaware Korean School will be on display and Korean food will be available for purchase. Recommended for all ages.
