Celebrate the newest interactive installation in Kids’ Corner! Families can meet the artists and explore this enchanting environment. Family Friendly. We are excited to welcome back the Smiths as our 2019 – 2021 Family-in-Residence. “Who Hears Twell Van Dunder?” is a destination for kids and grownups that celebrates childhood and encourages us to play, imagine, and wonder-even after we have grown up.

Artists are invited to bring their own painting or drawing projects to work on in a supportive group setting. Gentle guidance will be provided and a group critique will conclude the session.

30-minute lunch break. Instructor: Caroline Coolidge Brown Make beautifully detailed etchings without using harmful chemicals! Solarplates are light-sensitized steel plates that are a simple, safe and fast alternative to traditional etchings with acids and solvents. Using a light box and soy based inks students will explore making using painterly styles and photographic transparencies. Basic printmaking lessons in tearing paper, registering paper, mixing colors, and using the press will be covered.  All materials in this class are non-toxic. Supplies included.

Participate in a cultural exchange exploring both traditional and modern Korean culture and celebrating the Korean Thanksgiving, Chuseok. Enjoy Korean-inspired art activities, a photo booth, Korean snack sampling, TaeKwonDo demonstrations, hands-on activities, and much more. Artwork created by students from the Delaware Korean School will be on display and Korean food will be available for purchase. Recommended for all ages.
