Glory of Stories introduces young visitors to art and the Museum through a story reading followed by an interactive tour of relevant works of art and a studio art project. This program encourages learning through discovery, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Ages 2 and up. Group tour reservations are required for groups of 10 or more children. Mix, mingle, and get a little messy in the Museum’s ceramics studio! Participants will experiment with clay and complete a functional piece of pottery that the Museum will glaze. 30-minute lunch break. Instructor: Caroline Coolidge Brown Using garden plants and simple materials, students will explore the possibilities of organic and geometric compositions to create a series of monotypes on the museum’s large etching press. Basic printmaking lessons in tearing paper, registering paper, mixing colors, and using the press will be covered.  All materials in this class are non-toxic. Supplies included.

Instructor: Marne Ryan Make elegantly comfortable rings by fusing sterling silver and gold. This workshop will cover simple band making to complex framing. Participants will also learn bench tricks for sizing and fitting in addition to single and double framing.
