Conversations with Women Making a Difference in Delaware

Conversations with Women Making a Difference in Delaware

Join us at the Delaware Art Museum on April 11 for the second in series of “Conversations with Women Making a Difference in Delaware: Claiming our Seat at the Table.”

Carol Arnott-Robbins, founder of NEWS4Women, will facilitate a panel discussion followed by a Q&A session. Topics will include career highlights, life stories, and hard-earned wisdom from these three influential women. The three April panelists include:

Michelle A. Taylor is President and Chief Executive Officer of United Way of Delaware. She works across all sectors of the community to include private, public, and corporate sectors — and particularly the communities that are being served — to improve conditions to strengthen Delaware. As a career non-profit professional, Michelle’s proven leadership brings a high level of business and management skills, and she is effective at generating resources and financial support for organizations. She is dedicated to shared and measurable goals for the common good: creating, resourcing, scaling, and leveraging strategies for large investment and impact. She is a board member of several professional organizations and agencies.

Renata B. Kowalczyk is the new Managing Director for Wilmington Renaissance Corporation. She has more than twenty years of experience in strategic partnership building, change management, operations, organizational learning and development, management consulting, and community and economic development. Prior to joining WRC, she was an Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase. In 1991, Renata came to the U.S. from then-communist Poland, two days after the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Since then she has lived and worked in New York City, Washington, DC, and the greater Seattle area. She is a Founder with the Delaware Fund for Women and serves on the Boards of Delaware Shakespeare and the Rodney Square Conservancy. She’s also active in the Rotary Club of Wilmington and is an Angel Investor with the national Pipeline Angels network.

Kyle Evans Gay, Esq. is an attorney at the law firm of Connolly Gallagher LLP. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation and government law. Prior to entering private practice, Kyle served as a law clerk in the Delaware Superior Court and worked at the Delaware Department of Justice as a law clerk and a Deputy Attorney General in the Appeals Division. She is active in the Delaware State Bar Association, and she volunteers with the Office of the Child Advocate. Governor Carney appointed Kyle to Delaware’s Public Integrity Commission, which administers ethics and financial disclosure laws. She is a Founder of the Delaware Fund for Women and serves as the President of Spur Impact Association, a Wilmington-based nonprofit focused on engaging young professionals. She is President-Elect of the Junior League of Wilmington.

Bring your friends — and bring the men in your life — to this fun and inspirational evening.

The event is jointly sponsored by Blue Blaze Associates and NEWS4Women.

The third and final 2018 date for the series of “Conversations with Women Making a Difference in Delaware” will be hosted by Delaware Art Museum on October 10, 2019. All programs will run from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
