The Delaware Art Museum is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a Valentine’s Speakeasy on Thursday, February 11 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This late night soirée invites guests to dress their best and enjoy prohibition-era cocktails, Jazz Age music by Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society, swing dancing demonstrations by the University of Delaware’s Swing Club, sketching in the galleries, and more. Admission to the event is free for Museum Members and $5 for Non-Members with a cash bar. All galleries will be open.

Speakeasy and Valentine’s Day cocktails and treats will be available in the Thronson Café with a secret password given at the front desk the night of the event. Prohibition-era attire is encouraged, but not required. Tickets available here.

About the Delaware Art Museum

Founded in 1912, the Delaware Art Museum is best known for its large collection of works by Wilmington native Howard Pyle and fellow American illustrators, a major collection of British Pre-Raphaelite art, and urban landscapes by John Sloan and his circle.
