Stone Setting 2-Day Workshop
Refresh, reboot and refine your stone setting technique! Learn about the different bezel wires on the market vs sheet metal, how to measure a cabochon for the perfect bezel fit and how to contour & finish the top of the bezel before setting it into place. We will focus on on high domed cabs, unusual or uneven cabs, and sharp edged (triangular/square) cabs. Additionally, we will discuss when prong setting can be your friend and how to successfully solder prongs into place. This workshop will not focus on finishing one piece of jewelry; rather it will focus on bezel technique, using the torch successfully, and gaining knowledge to go forward and set stones successfully in the future.
