The program includes two major works by Franz Liszt (the Funérailles, composed in the same year as the founding of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, 1849, and the 1853 Sonata in b minor) as well as works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, and Alexander Scriabin.
