Marc Bamuthi Joseph @ The Grand Opera House

In the multimedia performance /peh-LO-tah/, Marc Bamuthi Joseph draws on his experiences as a child of Haitian immigrants and travels to World Cups in South Africa and Brazil. Combining explosive hip-hop and soccer-inspired choreography with inspirational spoken word and gospel, Joseph takes on present day immigrant life in America and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Meet the artist and preview excerpts from the performance at the Delaware Art Museum on June 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
