Community Forums

This summer, community organizations will activate the galleries and visitors with a series of public forums focused on racial and social justice, civil rights, and education.

The Delaware Art Museum’s civil rights-themed summer exhibitions examine the local and national struggle for equality. Public programs planned around the exhibitions encourage visitors to respond to this history and take action by connecting with local organizations that forward social change in their city.  Through its Community Forums, the Delaware Art Museum offers a civic space as a platform for dialogue. These forums will be facilitated and are open to all visitors and viewpoints. The Delaware Art Museum does not take a stance on any political issue. The Museum strives to be a vital hub where community members come together on equal terms to engage in cultural and civic discourse around art.
