Bus Trip to James A. Michener Art Museum
Join us for an excursion to nearby Doylestown to see Impressionism to Modernism: The Lenfest Collection of American Art at the James A. Michener Art Museum. For the first time, the Michener exhibits the entire collection of Pennsylvania Impressionists and Modernists works gifted by the Marguerite and Gerry Lenfest. A tour will be followed by time for a leisurely lunch and shopping at Peddler’s Village before returning home.
Founded in 1988 and named for the Doylestown resident and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, the James A. Michener Art Museum collects, preserves, interprets and exhibits American art and promotes the work of nationally and internationally known Delaware Valley artists of all eras and creative disciplines.
9:30 a.m. Depart promptly from Delaware Art Museum
11:00 a.m. Arrive at the James A. Michener Art Museum
11:15 a.m. Interpreter-led tour followed by additional time on your own
1:15 p.m. Pick-up for luncheon(Buttonwood Grill) & shopping at Peddler’s Village
3:30 p.m. Depart for the Delaware Art Museum
5:00 p.m. Arrival at Delaware Art Museum*
