Art is After Dark: From Houdini to Hugo

Tour the exhibition From Houdini to Hugo: the Art of Brian Selznick and try your hand at drawing your own magical illustrations with a drop-in studio workshop. Experience sleight of hand magic tricks or enjoy a screening of the movie Hugo (2011), adapted from Brian Selznick’s book The Invention of Hugo Cabret.

Plus, stroll the galleries and enjoy a cash bar with snacks in the Thronson Café. Free for Members, $8 in advance or $10 at the door for Non-Members.

Clay Date is back by popular demand! Led by Museum Studio Instructor. Clay Date is a different kind of evening activity for friends and dates to mix, mingle, and get a little messy in the Museum’s ceramics studio. Participants will experiment with clay and complete a functional piece of pottery in a relaxed and social atmosphere. Space is limited, so sign up early! No experience necessary. Supplies, beer, wine, and light snacks provided. Must be 21 and over to participate.
