Rules of participation:

1. Poem must be of the poet’s own creation.
2. Content of poem must be appropriate for all ages.
3. The poet has no more than four minutes to read one poem.
4. The poet is allowed to read, recite, or rap the poem.
5. The poet agrees to arrive at least twenty minutes before their scheduled performance time.
6. The poet agrees that if selected for the YouthSpeaks! program that the commitment will be honored fully.
