Calls for Artists

An Opportunity to Offer your Artisan Wares at the Delaware Art Museum on Holiday House Tour Day

Please join us on Saturday, December 8, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Fusco Hall, the Delaware Art Museum’s grand entrance hall, to sell your art, jewelry, books, and/or designs to holiday shoppers. Twelve display spaces will be available on the perimeter of this light-filled open space for twelve jury-selected artisans. You will be in the center of the action where people enter the Museum and linger to listen to live holiday music while they shop.

Each space, which includes a 6-foot, black-draped banquet table, will be ready for set-up by 7:30 a.m. The Museum will open to the public at 9:00 a.m. Parking for unloading and reloading your art and supplies will be close to the Museum’s main entrance doors where there are no steps to climb. We expect many shoppers between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. as people come to purchase Holiday House Tour tickets, but people will come and go throughout the day

Artisan names and their art forms will be listed on the Tour invitation, advertising, and press releases. Photographs of artisan art and brief biographies will be included with the Tour program and on the Museum’s website. The sales commission will be 30% for art and products sold or commissioned during the event.
