Museum Council Book Sale

The Museum Council’s popular Book Sale is back! The sale will include over 5,000 books on subjects such as photography, history and biography, American and European art, decorative arts, cookbooks, and hundreds of art periodicals. Collectible books with beautiful publisher’s bindings will also be featured. All Book Sale proceeds will benefit the Museum’s Helen Farr Sloan Library & Archives Acquisitions Fund.

The 2016 Book Sale will feature a “What’s it Worth?” booth with Sandra Riper from Sunset Hill Jewelers and Thomas Macaluso from Thomas Macaluso Rare & Fine Books. For a modest donation, Sandra and Thomas will be available to evaluate jewelry and books. The “What’s it Worth?” donation is $15 for Museum Members and $20 for Non-Members to have two items evaluated (books and jewelry only, please).

OperaDelaware brings literature to life during the Museum Council’s Annual Book Sale! This special “pop-up” performance features works from this spring’s OperaDelaware Festival focused on Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Falstaff, as well as other favorite stories. Drop in on the half hour between 11:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. for a 15-minute performance in Fusco Hall.
