In this workshop, participants will learn about a variety of letterpresses and then work with handset metal and wood type to design one page of a small book using their favorite line of poetry as the subject. Through a creative combination of folding and tearing, each participant will produce one complete accordion-fold book that includes each participant’s page and a cover. In addition, everyone will receive the materials to produce another two books, which can be completed later.
