Hurray for Clay!

(Ages 6–9) During this fun afternoon children’s clay class, everyone will create wacky and beautiful objects by rolling, pinching, coiling, and painting—often laughing all the way!

Artist Studio for Homeschoolers

(Ages 8–12) Students will learn the fundamentals of art in the Museum’s studio. Basic drawing, painting, and sculpting will be explored with a focus on processes and techniques.

Advancing Young Artists

(Ages 10–14) Using a variety of media, techniques, and subject matter, this class will teach the basic fundamentals of art and take students’ artistic skills to a new level. Young artists will be inspired and gain confidence in their artwork!

Artwise I

(Ages 6–8) Using the Museum’s collection for inspiration, the basic fundamentals of art will be taught, developed, and practiced. The class will focus on drawing with additional painting and sculpting projects.

Cartooning

(Ages 9–12) This class will use the basic principles of art to show that stories are more than just words! Students will visit From Houdini to Hugo: The Art of Brian Selznick and learn about cover art, illustrating characters, and storyboarding to make creative cartoons.
