From Drawing to Painting

Starting with drawing and transitioning into painting, students of all levels will explore a variety of subjects through still lifes and photographs in this relaxed class. Students will also experiment with charcoal, conté, pastels, and water-based media such as acrylic and water-soluble oils for painting.

Watercolors

This course is designed to provide students with a foundation in watercolor painting. Get ready to have fun learning color mixing and application techniques, including wet-in-wet, glazing, dry brushing, and resists.

Landscape Painting

Using photographic reference and looking at examples of historic and contemporary landscape painting students will learn how to compose outdoor scenery. Methods and materials will be tailored to each student’s individual interests. Weather permitting, students will also have the opportunity to paint en plein air.

Oil Painting
