From Drawing to Painting

Starting with drawing and transitioning into painting, students of all levels will explore a variety of subjects through still lifes and photographs in this relaxed class. Students will also experiment with charcoal, conté, pastels, and water-based media such as acrylic and water-soluble oils for painting.

Intermediate Drawing

For students who have completed Beginning Drawing or have previous experience, this class will take their drawing to the next level. Participants use drawing mediums of their choice to hone skills and develop a style.

Beginning Drawing

Learn basic drawing techniques and gain an understanding of composition, form, line, and perspective. Working from life is the basis of this course, but individual expression is the goal.

Watercolors

This watercolor class is designed to provide students with the necessary skills to take command of their watercolor paintings. Classes will cover materials, techniques, and paint application methods that keep watercolors fresh and airy.

Continuing Watercolors

Post-beginner to advanced-level students will continue to learn about watercolors and refine their skills. This session will focus on different types of backgrounds, including washes, stucco walls, and cracked walls.

Painting

This is a good basic course for beginning and intermediate painters interested in acrylic or oil painting. The instructor will advise students on materials and methods while providing individual instruction tailored to each student’s particular needs and interests. The class will study various artists for inspiration.
