From Drawing to Painting

REGISTER

Starting with drawing and transitioning into painting, students of all levels will explore a variety of subjects through still lifes and photographs. Students will also experiment with charcoal, conté, pastels, and water-based media such as acrylic and water-soluble oils for painting.

Watercolor Techniques

REGISTER

Paint applications, techiniques, and materials will be discussed and demonstrated in this class. Students will gain a basic understanding of the medium and leave with sample works of art.

This course is designed to provide students with a foundation in watercolor painting. Get ready to have fun learning color mixing and application techniques including wet-in-wet, glazing, dry brushing, and resists.

Representational Painting

This course will focus on approaches and techniques for representational oil painting. Direct observation along with working from a photographic reference will be the basis for combining light, shadow, and color to create realistic paintings. Each class will be tailored to individual needs and interests.
