Registration
Registration is first come first served. Students will be contacted only if a class is full, or if a class has been cancelled. Small classes ensure individual attention. All tuition fees must be included with the registration form unless applying for a Red Apple Fund grant. Tuition is payable in full with registration and already includes a $10 non-refundable registration fee. No registrations will be taken over the phone.
Mail or Fax Registration(s) to:
Studio Programs Manager, Delaware Art Museum,
2301 Kentmere Parkway, Wilmington, DE 19806

Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds (less a $10 registration fee) are issued only when a written request is received at least 10 business days before the first class meeting. If a student wishes to withdraw from a class, a 75% refund will be issued if the Museum has been notified prior to the second meeting of class. NO FEES ARE REFUNDABLE AFTER A CLASS HAS MET MORE THAN ONCE. Membership fees are non-refundable.
If the Museum cancels a class due to insufficient enrollment, registered students will have the option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund.
Bad Weather or Emergency Cancellation of a Class
In case of bad weather / emergencies check the following to learn if the Museum is closed: Call 302-351-8541, WDEL 1150am on the radio, WDEL.com on the web. An instructor will contact students if he/she is unable to make it to class on a particular day. Instructors will contact students to reschedule classes. If an instructor cancels a class, the classroom is closed to students during that time frame.
Materials and Fees
Class supply lists will only be mailed or e-mailed upon request. Class supply lists will be posted on our website at www.delart.org. Students enrolled in adult classes must supply their own materials. Clay and tools are available for purchase in the ceramics studio. Lab and materials fees for metals and ceramics classes may include maintenance fees for studio equipment and upkeep. Materials are included for youth art classes.
Storing Student Artwork
Artwork can only be stored in designated areas and must be removed by the end of the semester. If a student misses the last class or if a student’s ceramic work is being fired in the kiln, he/she has two weeks from the date of their last class to pick up their artwork. Artwork will be disposed of if not removed by allotted time.
No Guests Allowed
Siblings and/or friends who are not registered students are not allowed to participate or be in the classes.
Parking
Parking for studio classes is available either on Kentmere Parkway or in the Museum’s general parking lot. Students may drop off and pick up their supplies at the entrance to the Bank of America Education Wing before and after class. Also, parents bringing children to class may drop them off at the Education Wing.
