Dr. Colin Cruise, the 2008 Fellow in
Pre-Raphaelite Studies, will deliver
a lecture based on his studies of the history of Pre-Raphaelite drawing. His research was conducted at the University of Delaware Library and the Delaware Art Museum, which jointly offer a Fellowship in
Pre-Raphaelite Studies. |

Dr. Cruise has written widely on 19th-century art and culture. He curated the exhibition Love Revealed: Simeon Solomon and the Pre-Raphaelites for the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, England, in 2005 and is currently working on a project surveying Pre-Raphaelite drawing. He teaches art history at the School of Art, the University of Aberystwyth, Wales.
The University of Delaware / Delaware Art Museum joint Fellowship in Pre-Raphaelite Studies is awarded to scholars conducting significant research in the lives and works of the Pre-Raphaelites and their friends, associates, and followers. Dr. Cruise is the first recipient of the Fellowship.
