Previously pasted on white board with label: "Allan Crite, the subject of this exhibit was born in Plainfield, N.J. twenty-eight years ago. He was taken to Boston in his first year, and there received all his artistic training. // An only child, he was early encourage by his mother to draw as a means of amusing himself. // Formal art training first began at the Children's Art Center in Boston, while he was still in grammar school. Training continued under Charles Woodbury, and at the Massachusetts School of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. // His works have been reproduced in World's Horizons, the New York Times, the Boston Traveler, and Herald, and elsewhere."
