DELAWARE ART MUSEUM GRANTS FREE ADMISSION TO MILITARY FAMILIES
IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY
WILMINGTON, DE (May 4, 2006)—To thank the people who protect our country, the Delaware Art Museum will grant free admission to active military personnel, members of the National Guard and U.S. Reserve, and their spouses and children on Saturday, May 27, 2006. Personnel must present military I.D. cards for free admission. Dependent I.D. cards will be accepted as well.
Also in May, the Delaware Art Museum is participating in Bank of America’s Museums on Us program. Bank of America customers, along with a guest, will receive free admission to the Museum from May 1 through May 31, 2006, to celebrate National Museum Month. To gain free admission, cardholders need to present photo ID and their Bank of America ATM, debit, or credit card. MBNA credit cards will also be honored because MBNA cardholders are now customers of Bank of America.
And, in conjunction with National Tourism Week, the Delaware Tourism Office is conducting a promotional campaign to encourage state residents to visit local attractions. The Delaware Art Museum will participate again this year by waiving our admission fee for everyone with proof of residency on Saturday, May 13, 2006.
