The Delaware Art Museum Council, founded in 1967, is a long-standing organization who takes pride in generating and sustaining creativity in our community. Our Members consist of an array of women and men with varying professional and personal interests.
The Council’s mission is to be ambassadors for the Museum in cultivating projects and promoting interest and support of the Museum within the region.
The Council achieves its vocation by helping the Museum attain its mission. Specifically, the Council participates in a host of volunteer opportunities, directs fund-raising projects, and promotes art appreciation during monthly meetings.
The Council supports the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of the unique resources at the Delaware Art Museum and welcomes you to join our commitment and passion. I encourage you to peruse our website and contact Ms. Barbara Noseworthy (Membership Chair) at email@example.com to ask how you can get involved.

Delaware Art Museum mission:
Founded in 1912, The Delaware Art Museum’s mission is to connect people to art, offering an inclusive and essential community resource that through its collections, exhibitions, and programs generates creative energy that sustains, enriches, empowers, and inspires.
The Art Museum Council, founded in 1967, is a group of volunteers whose primary purpose is to support the mission of the Delaware Art Museum by coordinating and hosting fundraising events such as the Holiday House Tour and the Museum Council Art Book Sale. The funds raised by the Council are allocated for conservation projects, the Museum’s Helen Farr Sloan Library and Archives, and the Museum’s education programs.
