The limited edition portfolio measures 32 x 24 inches and is specially boxed in a gold-embossed presentation case.

Special Offering:
The Wondrous Strange Exhibition Portfolio

We are pleased to offer a rare opportunity to own a unique, limited edition portfolio commemorating Wondrous Strange: Pyle, Wyeth, Wyeth & Wyeth, the most popular exhibition in the histories of the Delaware Art Museum and the Farnsworth Art Museum. Rave reviews were the norm from the 135,000 people who saw the first-ever exhibition to explore the link among the much-loved paintings of four American art icons: Howard Pyle, N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, and Jamie Wyeth.

To commemorate this notable achievement, the two museums have produced a handsome, limited edition portfolio. It includes five large reproductions from the exhibition and a dramatic black-and-white photograph of Andrew and Jamie Wyeth taken by renowned photographer Michael Ahearn. Each of the photographic prints, numbered 1 through 250, has been personally signed by Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth.

The art in the Wondrous Strange portfolio truly lives up to its name. The captured aspects of human experience are hardly ordinary. Instead, they shimmer with a stark luminescence that transcends the real. At the same time, a palpable emotional essence brings believability to the fantastic.

This special edition of five reproductions, each 32 x 24 inches, was printed on Pinnacle Art Press's Heidelberg Speedmaster printer. Preparation and color correction were all done on electronic systems, and the fine art of dot etching was used in certain critical areas.

The photographic portrait of Andrew and Jamie Wyeth was taken from an original by portrait photographer Michael Ahearn, whose credits include work for Andy Warhol's Interview Magazine, Connoisseur, Vogue, Fame and numerous other international publications. The photograph was printed on a French imported sheet called Parilux Silk 111# Cover. A special tritone process was used in the printing to maximize shadow saturation and the mid-tone fidelity of the original.

Each of the posters and the photographic print is suitable for framing or hanging, or may be kept as a set. A certificate of authenticity is adhered to the inside cover of each of the portfolio boxes. Orders for this limited edition of 250 portfolios will be honored in the order of receipt. Proceeds benefit the educational programs at the Delaware Art Museum and the Farnsworth Art Museum.
